Dr. Kawther Alimi is currently Assistant Professor of Economics at Tunis Business School (TBS), University of Tunis, Tunisia and affiliated researcher at the Laboratoire d’Economie d’Orléans (LEO), University of Orléans, France. In 2019, Kawther obtained a doctorate in economic sciences from the University of Sfax-Tunisia and the University of Orléans-France as part of an international thesis co-supervision. In 2013, she was valedictorian of her class of the Research Master in Economic and Financial Dynamics of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FSEGS) of the University of Sfax, Tunisia. His main areas of interest are monetary policy, exchange rate policy and the labor market, particularly in developing countries. She is particularly interested in the impact of economic frictions on the effectiveness of monetary policies and on economic growth in a stochastic dynamic general equilibrium framework. In this context, she participated in various high-level scientific training courses on macro-econometric modeling in Europe, such as at the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission in Ispra, Italy. Dr.Kawther has also gained extensive experience in the academic and professional world. Thus, from 2014 to 2022, she taught in several Tunisian universities and major schools. In addition, she has been a member of the Association of Tunisian Economists (ASECTU) since 2016.
