Double Degree Agreement

We are thrilled to announce the signing of a groundbreaking double degree agreement between Tunisia and Germany in December 2022. This historic agreement, the first of its kind in Tunisian higher education history, marks a significant milestone for both countries. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has lauded this collaboration as a testament to the growing cooperation between Tunisia and Germany.

This agreement allows students from both institutions to study alternately at both universities to earn a Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration from Tunis Business School at University of Tunis and a Bachelor in International Business from the Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences. The exchange program has started in 2023-2024 academic year.

Over the past seven years, Prof. Gaiser and Prof. Benabdallah have established a successful partnership between TBS and the University of Heilbronn. Several projects have been accomplished: Firstly, exchange programs funded by Erasmus+ and DAAD have been established, in which several Tunisian and German students have already participated. These exchange programs have allowed students from both institutions to benefit from enriching intercultural experiences.

Secondly, faculty exchange programs have been conducted. This collaboration has facilitated the sharing of knowledge and expertise between the two institutions. Joint study trips were organized, bringing together Tunisian and German students. These trips provided students with the opportunity to discover the economic and cultural characteristics of Tunisia, thereby strengthening mutual understanding.

Finally, five virtual tele-collaborations classes have been carried out, during which mixed pair of students worked on marketing "Made in Germany" or "Made in Tunisia" products for the market of the other country. These virtual collaborations have facilitated an exchange of ideas and perspectives while encouraging students who do not have the opportunity to travel to develop essential intercultural skills in the field of business. This partnership between the Tunis Business School and the Faculty of International Business at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences has experienced rapid and positive development over the years. It has enabled students from both institutions to benefit from international education and to acquire an expanded vision of business in German and Tunisian contexts.
